A 2026 FIVB Snow Volleyball World Tour event will be held in Uludag near Bursa, from March 26 to 29. Renowned as one of Turkiye’s leading winter tourism and sports destinations, Uludag will welcome elite snow volleyball athletes and national teams from across the globe for this high-level international competition.
It will be the fifth stop in the history of the FIVB Snow Volleyball World Tour. The first three – in Wagrain (Austria), Kronplatz (Italy) and Bariloche (Argentina) – were held during the inaugural 2019 season. After a break of almost six years, the World Tour resumed in March 2025 with a successful event in Erzurum Palandoken in northeastern Turkiye, when the men’s team of Iran and the women’s team of Turkiye triumphed on top of the podium.
Now, Uludag in the northwestern part of Turkiye is set to welcome snow volleyball’s premier event. The mountain resort near Bursa is not new to international snow volleyball. It already hosted the CEV Snow Volleyball European Tour twice, back in 2017 and in 2018 (pictured in the main photo; source: cev.eu).
The competition courts for the upcoming tournament will be specially constructed in the Bursa Teleferik Uludag station area, thereby offering athletes and spectators a unique sporting experience set against Uludag’s iconic alpine landscape. The event will be organized through the collaboration of the Turkish Volleyball Federation, Osmangazi Municipality, Bursa Teleferik, and Uludag Drinks, reflecting a strong partnership between sports institutions, local authorities and the private sector.
As part of the official FIVB international calendar, the 2026 FIVB Snow Volleyball World Tour stop in Uludag will offer top-level women’s and men’s teams the opportunity to compete under international standards. The tournament is expected to attract significant international attention, contributing to the global promotion of snow volleyball as an attractive and trending discipline, as well as of Turkiye’s winter sports infrastructure, elevating the country’s reputation as a successful host of major global volleyball events.
The event will feature a total prize pool of USD 10,000, distributed equally between women’s and men’s teams.
