Top two seeds Diego Elias and Marwan ElShorbagy advanced to the final of the DR21 Motor City Open after claiming straight-game victories over Yahya Elnawasany and Dimitri Steinmann, respectively.
A day on from his nervy quarter-final win over Miguel Rodriguez, World No.3 Elias continued his quest for a fifth title at the Silver-level title in more convincing style after defeating No.8 seed Elnawasany by an 11-7, 11-2, 11-7 scoreline.
The Birmingham Athletic Club has become a second home for Elias in recent years, having captured the title in 2020, 2022, 2023 and 2024, and the Peruvian once again rarely looked in trouble throughout the 36-minute contest.
Meanwhile, No.2 seed ElShorbagy put in a strong performance to overcome Swiss No.1 Dimitri Steinmann by an 11-7, 11-7, 11-7 scoreline.
England No.1 ElShorbagy, who is on the hunt for his first title of the 2025/26 PSA Squash Tour season, came on strong in the latter stages of all three games to hold off the dynamic Steinmann and clinch a wll-earned victory after 42 minutes of play.
