Seven players are tied for the 36-hole co-lead at the Argentina Open, matching the Korn Ferry Tour record previously established at the Albertsons Boise Open six year’s ago.
First round co-leader Alistair Docherty is tied atop the leaderboard with Shad Tuten, Chris Korte, S.Y. Noh, Russell Knox, Jackson Van Paris and Hunter Eichorn.
Docherty followed up his opening bogey-free 7-under 63 with a 4-under 66 in the second round.
He is currently tenth on the Korn Ferry Tour Points List off the strength of a T2 finish at The Bahamas Great Abaco Classic, hi lone made cut in four starts this season.
Tuten carded a bogey-free 6-under 64 following an opening-round 5-under 65 while Korte fired in an 18-hole career best of 8-under 62 with seven birdies and an eagle against one bogey.
Noh, who has a solitary won on the PGA Tour, played the final nine holes at 6-under, making four birdies (Nos. 10, 11, 12, 16) and an eagle (No. 15), en route to a bogey-free 7-under 63.
Knox, a two-time PGA Tour winner, carded a 7-under 63 with six birdies and an eagle against one bogey to follow up on his opening round of 66.
Eichhorn posted a bogey-free 4-under 66 in the second round, highlighted by an eagle on the par-5 15th, to grab a share of the 36-hole lead for the first time in his career. He had opened with a 7-under 63 to earn a share of the 18-hole lead.
Van Paris matched his career low with a 7-under 62 to take the first 36-hole lead/co-lead of his Korn Ferry Tour career in his 12th starts.
