Kristoffer Reitan claims first PGA TOUR win at Truist Championship
Kristoffer Reitan came from one stroke behind to claim the Truist Golf Championships by two strokes.
The Norwegian finished on a 15-under 269 with a final round two-under 69, for his first PGA victory. He entered the day a stroke behind Alex Fitzpatrick and ended up with a two-stroke victory over Rickie Fowler and Nicolai Højgaard.
Fitzpatrick, the third-round leader, finished three shots back after shooting 73.
The 28-year-old Reitan, had once contemplated quitting competitive golf to become a YouTube golfer, but his decision to persevere has ensured that he becomes only the second player from Norway to win on the PGA Tour, joining seven-time winner Viktor Hovland.
The two-time winner on the DP World Tour, with both wins coming last year; only earned his PGA Tour membership for the first time by finishing inside the top 10 of the DP World Tour’s 2025 Race to Dubai.
Fowler is the only player with top-10 finishes in each of the last four Signature Events and now has 16 runner-up finishes in 377 starts. As for Højgaard, he finishes runner-up for the second time this season, having also finished second at the Texas Children’s Houston Open.
Four-time championship winner Rory McIlroy finished tied 19 with a five-under total, after a carding a final round of 67.
Defending champion Sepp Straka finished T63; keeping the unwanted record of no player successfully defending their title at the Truist Championship.
Snedeker claims tenth Tour title
Brandt Snedeker finished on 18 under at the Myrtle Beach Classic to claim his 10th PGA Tour title.
The 2026 Presidents Cup U.S. Team Captain finished one stroke ahead of Mark Hubbard.
Hubbard, the 54-hole leader was seeking to become the third consecutive winner to record their first TOUR win at the event after Chris Gotterup in 2024 and Ryan Fox in 2025, but came up short.
Eighteen-year-old Blades Brown finished tied-ninth to earn his second top-10 of the season after a third place finish at the Puerto Rico Open.
Following a season-best 7-under 64, nine-time PGA Tour winner Brooks Koepka posted a final-round 70 to finish T11 at 12-under.
Weekley wins fir Champions Tour title
Overnight 36-hole leader Boo Weekley completed 54 holes without a bogey or worse at the Insperity Invitational enroute to his first win on PGA Tour Champions.
Playing alongside Ernie Els in the final group, Weekley led by one stroke with two holes remaining. On No. 17, Els’ approach shot found the penalty area, leading to double bogey, while Weekley made birdie.
Darren Clarke (T3) closed with 68 to finish at 11-under and earned his second top-10 finish of the 2026 season.
Charlie Wi moved up to No. 8 in the 2026 Charles Schwab Cup standings after finishing T3 at 11-under.
Defending champion Stewart Cink (T5) collected his seventh top-5 finish of the season as he remains atop the Charles Schwab Cup standings. He has led the Schwab Cup standings for all nine weeks of the 2026 season after closing the 2025 campaign by winning the Charles Schwab Cup.
Rod Pampling (T52) carded the low round of the day with bogey-free 66.
