Sydney FC booked their place in the A-League grand final after edging Newcastle Jets 4-2 on penalties following a dramatic 1-1 draw in the second leg of their semi-final.
With the first meeting also ending level, the tie remained deadlocked after extra time before Sydney held their nerve in the shootout to complete a 4-2 aggregate victory.
Piero Quispe Cordova appeared to have sent Sydney through when he broke the deadlock midway through the second half, but Newcastle struck deep into stoppage time through Eli Adams to force extra time in front of a tense home crowd.

Vietnam: Cong An Ha Noi crowned champions after victory over Thanh Hoa
Cong An Ha Noi were officially crowned V.League 1 champions after defeating Thanh Hoa 2-0 in Round 23.
The league leaders were made to work hard in a tense contest, but the match turned decisively after Thanh Hoa were reduced to ten men just after the hour mark, allowing Cong An Ha Noi to take control late on and secure the title with three matches still remaining.
After sustained pressure, Alan Grafite finally broke the deadlock from the penalty spot in the 88th minute before China sealed the victory deep into stoppage time.

Persib Bandung moved to the verge of securing the Indonesia Super League title after edging PSM Makassar 2-1 in a tense Round 33 clash.

Kuching City FC tightened their hold on second place in the Malaysia Super League after edging Kuala Lumpur City 1-0 in Round 26.
The decisive moment arrived in the first half when Jordan Mintah’s delivery was turned home by Mpacko Etame Ngah, giving the hosts an advantage they would protect for the remainder of the contest.
