The FIBA 3×3 World Tour Bucharest 2026 Main Draw delivered some intriguing results, with eight teams securing their places in the Quarter-Finals following an action-packed day at Kossuth Square.
American outfit Miami, Amsterdam RABOBANK of the Netherlands and Fuengirola of Spain each finished the day unbeaten, while top-seeded Ub of Serbia crashed out of contention after some dramatic finishes on the opening day of action at the ParkLake Shopping Center.
POOL A
Kaunas VDU of Lithuania topped a Pool A, booking a place in the Quarter-Finals alongside Hangzhou Jingwei of China. All three Pool A teams finished with identical 1-1 records, but Kaunas and Hangzhou advanced thanks to superior ponts totals. Ub, meanwhile, was eliminated.
Kaunas opened their account with a major 21-11 upset over Ub before the Serbians bounced back with a 21-16 win over Hangzhou. Vuk Borovicanin closed Pool A action with a game-winning two-pointer as Hangzhou stole a game from Kaunas, 21-20.
It was a surprising result for Ub, the No. 1-ranked team in the FIBA 3×3 World Tour 2026 standings, which saw their Bucharest campaign come to an end.
POOL B
Pool B belonged to Miami, who secured first place after they notched two wins over home team Cluj of Romania and DeQing of China. Joining them in the Quarter-Finals are DeQing, who punched their ticket thanks to their 21-13 win over Cluj to close Pool B action.
Big man Riley Battin starred with a total of 13 points across two games for Miami, who are looking for their second FIBA 3×3 World Tour stop win of the year.
POOL C
Defending WT Bucharest winners Amsterdam RABOBANK emerged unscathed from the Qualifying Draw and Pool C after an impressive showing that included impressive wins over Baskets Bonn of Germany and Toulouse of France.
The Germans also advanced to the knockout rounds following they defeated the French, 17-12. The pool featured strong performances from Amsterdam’s Worthy de Jong, who averaged 7.3 points across their four Day 1 wins, including the Qualifying Draw.
Meanwhile, Toulouse narrowly missed out on the Quarter-Finals despite strong performances from Paul Djoko and Lucas Ugolin.
POOL D
Spanish fans had plenty to cheer about as ninth-seeded Fuengirola showed sharp form, finishing atop Pool D and securing a their spot in the Quarter-Finals.
They will be joined in the knockout stage by Antwerp of Belgium, who advanced after beating Ulaanbaatar MMC Energy of Mongolia, 21-19. Isaac Mayo once again delivered for Fuengirola, while Ulaanbaatar exited the competition after two uneven showings.
The stage is now set for an exciting knockout phase:
