Anna Rodina (WKF-1) captured the gold medal in the women’s kumite -61kg division after defeating Spain’s Carlota Fernández Osorio 5-3 in the final. Rodina controlled the decisive moments of the bout to secure her second Karate One Series A title, adding to the gold medal she won in A Coruña.
Karima Mekkaoui returns to the top in -68kg
Karima Mekkaoui of Algeria claimed the women’s kumite -68kg crown with a 6-4 victory over Egypt’s Jana Elghafary. It is the second Karate One Series A title of her career, following her triumph in Cairo in 2022. Juan Macedo makes history for Uruguay in -75kg
