Local hero Manush Shah and Ryu Hanna have emerged victorious at the first WTT Feeder Series event of the new season, capturing their first titles at WTT Feeder Vadodara in Gujarat.
Shah entered the week as the No.1 seed in the men’s singles draw, and he lived up to his status, making his way through the playing field at a rate of knots to bank his ticket to the final.
Then, just when it appeared he’d be denied at the last, Shah produced a late turnaround to finish the job in style, keeping his cool in the face of adversity to overturn a two-game deficit against Payas Jain in 7-11, 10-12, 11-6, 11-6, 11-8.
The women’s singles draw was blown wide open at the quarterfinal hurdle as top seed Yang Ha Eun saw her efforts thwarted by a Sutirtha Mukherjee 11-7, 11-8, 7-11, 11-8 victory.

Eyes on the prize: Ryu Hanna stepped up after seeing the top seed exit early.
With the title there for the taking, it was another player from Korea Republic who stepped up to the plate, as Ryu Hanna made a charge for the top honours.
Holding her nerve across three full distance showdowns on her way to the final, the 23-year-old left-hander needed just three games to wrap things up in the title decider, producing a faultless display to see off qualifying star Anusha Kutumbale with a 11-6, 11-6, 11-5 victory.
The WTT Feeder Series returns later this month with WTT Feeder Doha 2026 and WTT Feeder Lille 2026 taking place side by side from 27 Jan – 31 Jan.
