Hosts China are assured of all three doubles titles at China Masters badminton championships in Ruichang. All three doubles finals tomorrow will be all Chinese affairs and they also have a representative each in the singles.
In the men’s singles, Sun Chao stormed into the final defeating Malaysian Cheam June Wei 21-19, 21-9.
He will be playing a fully rested Indonesian Prahdiska Bagas Shujiwo in the final of the USD 120,000 event. Prahdiska qualified for the final without lifting the racquet after his opponent Park Sang-yong withdrew due to injury.
The women’s singles will see Korean Kim Min-ji trying to stop the Chinese juggernaut. Min-ji defeated Tonrug Saeheng of Thailand 21-12, 21-19 in the semi-finals.
She will take on China’s Xu Wenjing, who also benefited from an injury to her rival. Eight seeded Ni Kadek Dhinda Amartya Pratiwi threw in the towel after trailing 3-11 in their semi-final tie.
