It will be a battle of a different sorts for Cambodia and Thailand in the football competition at the SEA Games in December.
Both sides, caught in border tensions for the past months, have been drawn in the same group for both the men’s and women’s competitions.

Group B will feature favourites Vietnam, Malaysia and Laos. Group C will be the only group with four team – defending Indonesia, Myanmar, the Philippines, and Singapore.
Men’s Football will be played in. Bangkok, Chiangmai and Songkhla City.
The Cambodian women’s team are Group A, alongside Thailand, Singapore, and Indonesia. Group B will comprise of defending champions Vietnam, Myanmar, the Philippines and Malaysia.
All Women’s Football matches will be played in Chonburi.
Meanwhile, the Men’s Futsal will see five teams – Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Myanmar and Malaysia – playing in a round-robin format in Nonthaburi while women’s futsal will play all their matches in Samut Prakan.
Group A of the womens’ futsal has host Thailand, Malaysia and the Philippines, while Group B will see Indonesia, Myanmar and Indonesia battling it out.
