Bangladesh wants to play against Cambodia in an international friendly in preparation of their final AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers match in March.
The South Asian side are already out of contention in the Asian Cup and will play Singapore. They are now looking towards either Cambodia or Timor Leste as a warm-up match.
Bangladesh FA is hoping to bring either Cambodia or East Timor to Bangladesh for the friendly, with Sylhet being considered as the venue.
If that proves unfeasible, Bangladesh will travel to play the friendly away before heading to Singapore.
If the match does take place, it will be their first since the friendly in 2023, which Bangladesh won 1-0, courtesy of a 24th minute goal from Rahman Jony M.
Bangladesh are now lying third behind Singapore and Hong Kong in Group C of the qualifiers and ahead of neighbours India.
