Earth Warriors gather at the Oudong Pagoda

Earth Warriors Day 2024 was successfully organised at the Oudong Pagoda vicinity on September 28. A total of 179 participants gathered at the foothills of the iconic Oudong Pagoda to participate in a clean-up activity of the vicinity.

A massive 423.8kg of rubbish was collected by the participants during the 90 minute activity organised by Infinity Sport Co Ltd with the support of Banjaran Asset Management Cambodia Co Ltd. The event was sponsored by CCU Commercial Bank and T2W.

Infinity Sports with the National Paralympic Committee of Cambodia (NPCC) conducted the WeThe15 awareness campaign for the second time in Phnom Penh on Dec 3 and 4.

The first retail fund in Cambodia launched

Banjaran Asset Management (Cambodia) PLC (“BAMC”) has successfully obtained approval from the Securities and Exchange Regulator of Cambodia (“SERC”) to launch the BAMC Asia Equity Fund (“BAEF”) in the Kingdom of Cambodia. BAEF is the first retail fund to launch for sale in the Kingdom which the public will be able to invest in.

BAEF is a unit trust fund investing in a diversified portfolio of companies listed on major stock exchanges across Asia Pacific Ex-Japan. The fund targets to provide the benefits of investing in Asia, where economists globally see as the premier growth region in the coming years. The fund’s tagline is “The Rise of Asia”.

More than 500 lead the way for healthy living

More than 500 people joined in the World Walking Day celebrations in Prey Veng City on Sunday 1 October 2023.

The Governor of Prey Veng, H.E. Sourn Somalin accompanied by Member of Parliament H.E, Sethycheat, who is also the organising chairman, led the 1.7km walk. Participants from various organisations, schools, government agencies and sponsors attended the walk together with several national athletes from the National Paralympic Committee of Cambodia (NPCC).

The event held at the Samdach Krolahom Sor Kheng Garden, is part of The Association For International Sport For All’s yearly programme held to celebrate being active and join the most accessible and inclusive 24-hour relay around the globe. It was being held for the first time in the Kingdom, with the nation joining approximately 100 other countries in celebrating World Walking Day.

In his opening speech, H.E. Sourn Somalin stressed on the need for the people from all walks of life to lead a healthy and active life.

World Walking Day to be celebrated in Cambodia for the first time
Final preparation meeting to organise the World Walking Day in Prey Veng.

On 1 October 2023 at 10am Cambodians will celebrate being active and join the most accessible and inclusive 24-hour relay around the globe.

Prey Veng City will join an expected 100 other countries in celebrating the TAFISA World Walking Day. Approximately 600 participants are expected to join the fun walk event around the Samdach Krolahom Sor Kheng Garden in Prey Veng.

This will be the first time that Cambodia will be part of the programme. In 2022, 88 countries from all continents joined the second edition of the TAFISA World Walking Day.
