He posted a 5-under 67 in his final round to get to 22-under, which gave him a one-shot win over the field.

Morikawa birdied the 18th to claim his win, the seventh win of his Tour career, and his first since 2023.

The 29-year-old moves from No. 19 to No. 5 in the Official World Golf Ranking with the victory.

His 22-under matches the lowest score relative to par by a winner in tournament history since Brandt Snedeker in 2015.

Morikawa had entered the final round two strokes back of 54-hole leader Akshay Bhatia.

He made the turn at 2-under on the day, and then joined the pack at 20-under after a birdie at the 11th. But it was a 30-footer at the par-4 15th that finally sent Morikawa into the solo lead for the first time.

Lee Min Woo carded a final round of 65 for a 267 total and one stroke behind Morikawa togetehr with Sepp Straka. It was his third runner-up finish on the Tour, having also finsihed second at the Rocket Classic and Cognizant Classic two years ago.

As for Straka, a four-time PGA Tour winner, it was his fourth runner-up finish and first since the 2023 Open Championship.

Scheffler, finished a further stroke behind, with a final round 9-under 63, highlighted by three eagles (Nos. 2, 6, 18), becoming the first player to record three eagles in a round at the course since 1983. It was a massive run for the top-ranked golfer on the day after he started eight shots back.

Had it not been for a trio of bogeys, two of which came on the back side, Scheffler may have run away with the event completely. Instead he finished tied fourth with Tommy Fleetwood.

It was, however, the most consecutive top-five finishes on the Tour since 1983 for Scheffler.

Defending champion Rory McIlroy finihed tied-14th on 17-under despite a 8-under 64 in the final round.

Final Leaderboard

Pos.

Player

R1

R2

R3

R4

Total

1

Collin Morikawa

69 SH

68 PB

62 PB

67 PB

266 (-22)

T2

Min Woo Lee

67 SH

65 PB

70 PB

65 PB

267 (-21)

T2

Sepp Straka

66 PB

66 SH

67 PB

68 PB

267 (-21)

T4

Scottie Scheffler

72 PB

66 SH

67 PB

63 PB

268 (-20)

T4

Tommy Fleetwood

67 SH

68 PB

67 PB

66 PB

268 (-20)

Collin Morikawa fended off a charging group including World No 1 Scottie Scheffler to clinch the Pebble Beach

[44
58
post-9577","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-international","tag-golf
["https://www.infinitysport.asia/news/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Collin-Morikawa.jpg",1094,615,false
https://www.infinitysport.asia/news/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Collin-Morikawa-150x150.jpg",150,150,true
https://www.infinitysport.asia/news/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Collin-Morikawa-300x169.jpg",300,169,true
https://www.infinitysport.asia/news/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Collin-Morikawa-768x432.jpg",640,360,true
https://www.infinitysport.asia/news/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Collin-Morikawa-1024x576.jpg",640,360,true],"1536x1536":["https://www.infinitysport.asia/news/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Collin-Morikawa.jpg",1094,615,false],"2048x2048":["https://www.infinitysport.asia/news/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Collin-Morikawa.jpg",1094,615,false
https://www.infinitysport.asia/news/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Collin-Morikawa-825x575.jpg",825,575,true
https://www.infinitysport.asia/news/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Collin-Morikawa-590x410.jpg",590,410,true
admin
International
["GET
