Luke Littler and Luke Humphries will renew their rivalry in Antwerp tonight, as the Premier League visits Belgium for the first time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The AFAS Dome will play host to a landmark night of Premier League action, as the world’s top two prepare to go head-to-head in front of 10,000 fans on Belgian soil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Littler boasts an extraordinary record in Belgium, having won back-to-back European Tour titles in Wieze, while also lifting last year’s Flanders Darts Trophy in Antwerp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The world number one will be aiming to continue that remarkable record against his great rival Humphries, in a repeat of their epic World Masters decider earlier this month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Littler suffered a quarter-final exit against Gian van Veen on Night One in Newcastle last Thursday, although he’s confident of bouncing back over the coming weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Every stage is different in my opinion,”\u00a0claimed Littler, who secured a record-breaking six nightly wins in the 2025 season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“I’m not under any pressure and I don’t need to put pressure on myself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“I know I lost to Gian on Night One, but last year I lost to Michael van Gerwen [on Night One] as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“There’s still 15 weeks left, so as long as I get into the top four, that’s all that matters.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Seven-time Premier League champion Van Gerwen claimed the nightly spoils in Newcastle, overcoming his compatriot Van Veen to mark the perfect start to his 2026 campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Van Gerwen failed to register a nightly win throughout the entirety of last year’s competition, but he’s refusing to get carried away ahead of his quarter-final clash against Josh Rock, who is bidding to open his account in Antwerp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The Premier League is always a rollercoaster, so you need to make sure you perform week after week,”\u00a0declared the Dutch superstar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“I’ve been in a position before when I won three nights in a row and then afterwards I played poorly, so I need to keep my focus and the momentum going.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“People know what I’m capable of. I don’t have to make statements. Everyone still wants to beat me, but more importantly I still want to beat them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“There’s still a lot of room for improvement, so as long as I keep that in mind, anything is possible.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Van Veen, meanwhile, will take on Gerwyn Price in a fascinating quarter-final tussle, as the European Champion looks to build upon his impressive Premier League debut last Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The World Championship runner-up wasn’t at his brilliant best in Newcastle, but wins over Littler and Jonny Clayton saw him depart the North East with three points to his name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nevertheless, he faces a tough examination against Price, who produced a staggering tournament average of almost 106 at Players Championship Two in Hildesheim on Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To know that even when I’m not playing at my best level I can reach a final, that gives me so much confidence,”\u00a0declared Van Veen, who celebrated his first victory over Price on the European Tour back in September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“I’ve grown so much as a player, and I think that first win over him was really needed, which I got in Prague last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Now I know what it takes to beat him, and that gives me a lot more confidence going into tomorrow.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The evening’s other quarter-final encounter will pit 2021 winner Clayton against Stephen Bunting, as two former Masters champions collide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Clayton averaged 109.81 on his return to the Premier League fold last Thursday, dispatching newcomer Rock before succumbing to Van Veen in the semi-finals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bunting, however, was beaten by Van Gerwen in the last eight, suffering a 6-2 defeat despite making a bright start to the contest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The 2026 Premier League sees eight of the sport’s biggest names contesting 16 mini-events during the season, with each league night comprising quarter-finals, semi-finals and a final over the best of 11 legs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ranking points will be awarded per night – with five to the winner, three to the runner-up and two to the semi-finalists – to form the league table from which the top four players will progress to Finals Night at The O2 in London on Thursday May 28.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
