Kazakhstan will host the 2029 Asian Winter Games replacing Saudi Arabia that withdrew from hosting the Games ‘s withdrawal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) signed the Host City Contract for the 10th Asian Winter Games, scheduled to be staged in Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan during a ceremony in Milan, Italy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
OCA President Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani emphasized that the signing of the Host City Contract underscores the Olympic Council of Asia\u2019s commitment to advancing winter sports across Asia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“We have no doubt we will build on this legacy and deliver an unforgettable Games in 2029,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Games – scheduled to be held at the Trojena resort in the new Saudi Arabian city of Neom but was postponed reportedly because of the delay in constructing the ski resort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
