Chilean Cristobal Del Solar leads the Astara Golf Championship at 10-under after a bogey-free 61 first-round over American Robby Shelton at the Fundadores Course in Bogota.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The first round was suspended due to darkness and will resume today with seven players needing to complete the first round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Del Solar holds a three-stroke lead over Robby Shelton with his second best career low-round score on the Tour. Del Solar\u2019s 57 on the Pacos Course at the 2024 Astara Golf Championship is the lowest 18-hole score in any PGA Tour-sanctioned event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Shelton, a four-time Korn Ferry Tour winner opened with a bogey-free 64 to hold sole second spot in the leaderboard ahead of five chasing players \u2013 Ashton Van Horne, Norman Xiong, Martin Laird, Hunter Eichhorn and Vicente Marzillio – a stroke further.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Van Horne, who is competing via medical extension and making his first start on the Tour since May last year carded 6-under 65 despite a bogey on the par-4 sixth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Two-time Tour winner Xiong, who finished T66 in last week\u2019s Panama Championship, recorded eight birdies against two bogeys for his first-round 6-under 65.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Korn Ferry Tour winner Laird, also opened with a 65, his best 18-hole score in nine rounds on Tour this season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Eichhorn, who opened the 2026 season with a T6 finish at The Bahamas Golf Classic, opened with a bogey-free 65.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Marzilio, making his fifth career start on the Korn Ferry Tour and his tournament debut was also bogey-free with his 65 round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ian Holt, who became the first player in Korn Ferry Tour history to win two of the season’s first three events, opened his campaign of a third title of the season with a 2-under 69. He had won the last two events on Tour – The Bahamas Great Abaco Classic and The Panama Championship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With a third victory this season, Holt would earn an automatic promotion to the PGA Tour via the Three-Victory Promotion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Defending champion Kyle Westmoreland was tied-38 with Holt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
