The victory catapulted her to World No.19.

Anahat is also currently ranked second in the world junior rankings behind Amina Orfi.

Starting at the top of the world rankings, after a dramatic women’s final at the Tournament of Champions, champion Hania El Hammamy has extended her lead at the summit after winning her fourth major title of the season.

Olivia Weaver held a 9-3 lead in the fifth game of the final and despite not managing to get over the line, that result has seen her move to World No.3 her highest ranking to date and the first American since Amanda Sobhy in 2021 to reach the top three.

Just above Weaver, now sits Amina Orfi at World No.2. Despite an early exit in New York last week, the consistency of Orfi has seen her be a constant threat in all of her events and after claiming the Karachi Open Gold event at the start of January alongside two other Gold event wins and a Silver victory in the first half of the season, she’s moved to her highest ranking of World No.2.

Malaysian Sivasangari Subramaniam is the only South East Asian player in the top 20 of the latest rankings list at number six.

Moving onto the men’s rankings, former World No.1 and World Champion Karim Gawad is the biggest story as he has returned to the world’s top three for the first time since 2020. Gawad reached yet another major event semi-final at the Tournament of Champions last week and has leapfrogged the recovering Diego Elias after the Peruvian failed to back up his points from the previous year.

Squash on Fire Champion Mohamed Elshorbagy is heading back in the right direction this week as he rises a place to World No.9. The Englishman claimed his 52nd PSA title yesterday in Washington D.C and will be desperate to return to the top 8 in the world to feature in more major event quarter finals, like he did in New York.

Egyptian Mostafa Asal maintains his top rankings, ahead of New Zealand’s Paul Coll.

Indian teenage sensation Anahat Singh has made history as she breaks into the top 20 of the squash

[7
37
post-8731","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-newsbeat","tag-squash
["https://www.infinitysport.asia/news/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Anahat-Singh-celebrates_compressed.jpg",2048,1365,false
https://www.infinitysport.asia/news/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Anahat-Singh-celebrates_compressed-150x150.jpg",150,150,true
https://www.infinitysport.asia/news/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Anahat-Singh-celebrates_compressed-300x200.jpg",300,200,true
https://www.infinitysport.asia/news/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Anahat-Singh-celebrates_compressed-768x512.jpg",640,427,true
https://www.infinitysport.asia/news/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Anahat-Singh-celebrates_compressed-1024x683.jpg",640,427,true],"1536x1536":["https://www.infinitysport.asia/news/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Anahat-Singh-celebrates_compressed-1536x1024.jpg",1536,1024,true],"2048x2048":["https://www.infinitysport.asia/news/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Anahat-Singh-celebrates_compressed.jpg",2048,1365,false
https://www.infinitysport.asia/news/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Anahat-Singh-celebrates_compressed-825x575.jpg",825,575,true
https://www.infinitysport.asia/news/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Anahat-Singh-celebrates_compressed-590x410.jpg",590,410,true
admin
https://www.infinitysport.asia/news/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Anahat-Singh-celebrates_compressed.jpg
["GET
