Devika, who won the Indian national title two years ago. Will be making her first semi-final appearance at a BWF Super 300 tournament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She recovered from a slow start in the opening game, allowing her Thai opponent to take a 5-0 lead before fighting back to level at 9-9 before building momentum.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Katethong, the Asian Games bronze medalist fought back to 19-19, but Devika closed out the game with two straight points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The second game followed a similar pattern. Trailing 5-3, Devika responded strongly, levelling the scores at 6-6 and then moving ahead to 10-6.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Katethong mounted another recovery to make it 13-13 and later 17-17 but a three-point burst from Devika took her to 20-17 and eventually the victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Devika will be up against fifth seed Huang Yu-Hsun of Chinese Taipei in the semi-finals. Yu-Hsun defeated Japan\u2019s Hina Akechi 12-21, 21-13, 21-12 in her quarter-final match.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Devika will be chasing her first major title although she has won three challenger events in Malaysia, Sweden and Portugal last season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Malaysia are assured of a place in the final with the other semi-finals seeing an all-Malaysian affair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wong Ling Ching battled past India\u2019s Isharani Baruah for over an hour before winning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She will meet Goh Jin Wei, who defeated fellow MalaysianLetshanaa Karupathevan 12-21, 21-17, 21-19 in her quarter-final tie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>QUARTER-FINAL RESULTS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>MEN\u2019S SINGLES: <\/strong>Alwi Farhan (Ina) bt Lee Zii Jia (Mas) 10-21, 21-15 rtd;
