Alter Ego defeated Turkiye’s <\/a><\/a>Aurora Gaming in round one, Chile’s <\/a><\/a>Black Sentence Esports in round two, and Myanmar’s <\/a><\/a>Yangon Galacticos in round three to advance to the Knockout Stage with a perfect record.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n Meanwhile, Aurora PH qualified for the Knockout Stage with a 3-1 record. They lost in the first round to regional rivals TLPH, but quickly bounced back with three straight victories over Cambodia’s CFU Gaming , Mongolia’s Team Zone, and Russia’s Team Spirit.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n The other teams that qualified for the knockout stages were Aurora Turkiye, TLPH, ONIC, Yangon Galacticos, and Spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In the best-of-three first round of the Knockout Stage, Aurora PH exacted revenge over TLPH in three-games, while Alter Ego shocked ONIC with a 2-0 win. <\/p>\n\n\n\n In the first meeting of the two eventual finalists in the best-of-five upper bracket semifinals, Aurora PH secured a convincing 3-1 victory to advance to the upper bracket finals and knock Alter Ego down to the lower bracket.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Aurora PH then faced SRG for the first spot in the grand finals, with the Filipino squad managing to come back from a 1-2 deficit in a five-game thriller to become the first team qualified for M7’s championship round. Meanwhile, Alter Ego tore through Spirit, TLPH, and SRG in a fiery run through the lower bracket to force a rematch with Aurora PH in the grand finals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The M7 grand finals kicked off with Aurora PH taking a hard-fought 15-minute win in the series opener, before cruising to a 2-0 lead after taking the longest game of the series at 16 minutes in game two.
