Riley matched defending champion Nick Taylor, Kevin Roy, S.H. Kim and Adrien Dumont de Chassart at 9-under 131 at the Waialae Country Club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gerard is in joint tenth spot despite a strong second round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Canada’s Taylor, who was tied with Roy on eight under after the opening round, carded four birdies and three bogeys in his one-under par 69 for the halfway lead on nine-under 131.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Roy maintained his share of the lead with a one-under 69 that also featured four birdies — the last at his final hole, the par-five ninth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dumont de Chassart posted a three-under 67 and the 27-year-old Kim, seeking his first PGA Tour title, carded a 68.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The five-way tie marks the most players tied for the lead after 36 holes on TOUR since the 2024 Valspar Championship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The leading group was one stroke clear of a quartet sharing sixth on 132.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Former world number one Vijay Singh, 62, made the cut in his first PGA Tour start since 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Singh has opted to use the tour’s one-time career money exemption, by which he is eligible for full-field events all season as a player inside the top 50 in career earnings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
