World Championships finalist Hamlet Manukyan of Armenia and Italian veteran Stefano Patron had something extra to celebrate during the holiday season. Both gymnasts had original elements named for them in the Men\u2019s Artistic Gymnastics Code of Points at the end of 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Manukyan\u2019s two-part element, valued at 0.6, honours two Pommel Horse champions – his teammate Artur Davtyan who won the European title in 2022, and European Games champion Saso Bertoncelj of Slovenia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Manukyan is a combination of Bertoncelj\u2019s signature element (Kehr with 270 degree turn on one pommel from side to cross support) done immediately to a Davtyan (reverse Stockli with 270 degree turn from two pommels to cross support on one pommel.) <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Manukyan performed it successfully for the first time at the Paris World Challenge Cup in September 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Patron\u2019s intricate pirouetting skill consists of a swing backward with quarter turn hop to \u00be handstand on one rail in the reverse direction and has been valued at 0.3. The 26-year-old from Venice competed it at the 2025 World Cup in Cottbus, Germany. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\u2019s the second Parallel Bars element in two years to be named for Patron, whose first named skill was confirmed in 2025. As his second named skill, it will be known as the Patron 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order to have a skill named in the Code of Points, a gymnast must first submit a video of the maneuver to the technical committee, which gives it a numerical value. The gymnast must then show it without a major fault in the context of an official World Gymnastics event. Only skills valued at 0.3 or higher are eligible to be named for their creators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
