The PGA TOUR Champions season-opening event, which will celebrate its 30th anniversary at Hualalai, will be contested from January 22-24.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Allan collected three wins in 2025 – The Galleri Classic, DICK\u2019S Open and Boeing Classic \u2013 and finished No. 11 in the Charles Schwab Cup standings. In all, the 52-year-old Australian earned eight top-10 finishes in 23 starts during the 2025 campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cabrera was also a three-time winner last year, capturing all three of his victories in a five-start span. After his maiden victory at the James Hardie Pro Football Hall of Fame Invitational, the Argentinian won majors in back-to-back starts in May at the Regions Tradition and Senior PGA Championship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bj\u00f8rn found the winner\u2019s circle twice in 2025 en route to a No. 5 ranking in the final Charles Schwab Cup standings. The Dane teamed up with Darren Clarke to win the American Family Insurance Championship before capturing the Stifel Charity Classic in a playoff over Cameron Percy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Green and Gainey each broke through for their first win on PGA TOUR Champions during the second half of the year. Green, who had earned six runner-up finishes before his first victory, triumphed at the Rogers Charity Classic in August. Gainey, who turned 50 during that same week, collected his first win at the Constellation FURYK & FRIENDS in October in his fifth start on Tour. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jacobson and Weekley round out the list of first timers at Hualalai in 2026. Jacobson, who was a rookie in 2025, compiled nine top-10 finishes in 23 starts, highlighted by a runner-up finish at the Hoag Classic and a T3 result at the season-ending Charles Schwab Cup Championship. Weekley earned three top-10 finishes in 25 starts, highlighted by a T3 finish at the DICK\u2019S Open.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Since 1997, six players have won the Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai in their tournament debut: Darren Clarke (2021), Jerry Kelly (2018), Duffy Waldorf (2016), Miguel \u00c1ngel Jim\u00e9nez (2015), Loren Roberts (2006) and John Jacobs (1999).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
