{"id":6891,"date":"2025-12-07T08:17:55","date_gmt":"2025-12-07T01:17:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.infinitysport.asia\/news\/?p=6891"},"modified":"2025-12-07T08:21:17","modified_gmt":"2025-12-07T01:21:17","slug":"wafa-completes-triple-crown","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.infinitysport.asia\/news\/wafa-completes-triple-crown\/","title":{"rendered":"Wafa completes triple crown"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Masghouni Wafa of Tunisia completed a sweep of junior, senior and under-21 world titles by winning the Women\u2019s -62kg final World Taekwondo Under-21 Championships in Kasarani.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The reigning African and Arab champion defeated Spain\u2019s Elsa Secanell Charles in the final to complete her collection. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AIN Anastasiia Bannova placed joint-third, with Canada\u2019s Ella Brewster matching the bronze she won at the Chuncheon 2024 World Taekwondo Junior Championships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Berkay Erer of T\u00fcrkiye took the first gold of the day in the Men\u2019s -68kg category, overcoming Korea\u2019s Jin Ho Mun in the final. Bronze medals went to Iran\u2019s Matin Rezaei, the former world junior champion, and Egypt\u2019s Omar Muhammad Fathy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AIN Alisa Angelova clinched Women\u2019s -46kg gold with victory against the reigning world junior champion Yu Min Lee of Korea. Vasiliki Papadopoulou of Greece and Julia Silva Nazario of Brazil took the bronze medals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Men\u2019s -87kg event was won by Kazakhstan\u2019s Batyrkhan Toleugali, who added to the World Taekwondo Junior Championships gold he won at Sofia 2022. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He defeated Iran\u2019s Mohammad Alizadeh in the final to triumph in Kenya\u2019s capital. Recently-crowned world champion Henrique Marques Rodrigues Fernandes of Brazil had to settle for bronze, and was joined on the podium by AIN Vladislav Budin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>T\u00fcrkiye topped the women&#8217;s team standings, with Korea finishing second and Morocco third. In the men&#8217;s competition, Iran claimed first place in the team standings, ahead of T\u00fcrkiye in second and Kazakhstan in third.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The inaugural edition of the World Taekwondo Under-21 Championships successfully provided a platform for the world\u2019s best young athletes to showcase their talents. The next edition will take place in Samokov, Bulgaria in 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Closing Ceremony also featured individual and team awards, which were presented as
