Lionel Beyer of France grabbed a double at the 2nd<\/sup> Beach Teqball International Cup in Wanning as Cambodian players fail once again to reach the podium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyer won the singles title with a clinical 12-3, 12-3 win over Japan\u2019s Akinori Wase. He later teamed up with Ukranian Sagyebo Istvan-David for the doubles gold defeating China\u2019s Zhnag Jun Ming-Sun Zhixu 21-8, 12-7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both the Cambodian players \u2013 Minea Chan and Ratanak Nak \u2013 failed to get past the group stages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minea lost all his three Group E matches against the Chinese duo of Zhiang Zhang and Mao Yongqing as well as to Mongolia\u2019s Nominchimeg Tsetsenberkh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ratanak picked up victor over China\u2019s Wang Suunde but lost to German\u2019s Diego Gollub and Zhang Chengming of China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both Minea and Ratanak qualified for the doubles quarter-finals after a 2-1 record in the Group D. The Cambodian pair defeated Romanians Zoltan Mate-Diego Gollub and Mongolia\u2019s Undrakh Mynganbayr-Nominchimeg Tsetsenberkh but lost to China\u2019s Mao Zhe Ming-Yongqing Mao at the group stages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their march in the competition ended in the quarter-finals, with their opponents \u2013 the Japanese duo of Seiya Arai-Akinori Wase \u2013 making the semi-finals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
