Cambodia crashed to their third successive defeat at the AFC U17 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026 Qualifiersin Bishkek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Yemen and Laos stayed perfect in the qualifiers after picking up their third straight wins in Group B yesterday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Yemen were in total control in the 3-0 defeat of Cambodia while Laos impressed to end Pakistan\u2019s two-match winning streak with a 2-1 victory. There was also success for Kyrgyz Republic, who defeated Guam 9-0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Yemen dominated the first half and took the lead in the 18th minute when Fahd Salah teed up Ali Shafiq for a spectacular volley from the edge of Cambodia’s box that Vuthy Chhea had no chance of saving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Despite keeping Cambodia pinned in their own half, poor finishing meant that Yemen only took a slim lead into the break.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Yemen’s profligacy in front of goal continued in the second half with Salah and Abdulrahman Alqufaili missing gilt-edged chances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, Yemen’s persistent attacks yielded reward late on with Alqufaili pouncing on a loose ball to fire home from close range in the 83rd minute before Abdo Ali settled the contest seven minutes later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, Laos kept their winning ways and struck struck first when Palindeth Phettakounh drifted to the back post in the ninth minute to nod home Anoulak Singsavang’s corner delivery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pakistan then controlled the match but had to wait until the first minute of added time to draw level through Muhammad Abdullah’s towering header from Abdul Samad’s inswinging cross from the left.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The South Asian side went close in the 58th minute after confusion in the Laos box but Abdullah could only lob the ball wide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Laos took advantage to score the winner in the 72nd minute when Odin Siphanit converted his penalty after Sitthilath Chantamaly had been fouled by Nadeem Hussain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
