China won its fourth gold medal of the event through Ye Xiaoting, who overcame her compatriot and World Taekwondo Championships bronze medallist Shiyi Wang in the -46kg final.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bronzes in Malabo went to neutral athletes Alisa Angelova and Milana Bekulova, the World Taekwondo Championships silver medallist in Wuxi last month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Olympic gold medallist Viviana M\u00e1rton of Hungary was forced to settle for silver in the -62kg event at the World Taekwondo Championships in Wuxi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, she returned to the top of the podium at the World Taekwondo Women\u2019s Open Championships with victory in the final against neutral athlete Liliia Khuzina, the former world champion from 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The bronze medals in the hotly contested -62kg weight category went to the World Taekwondo Championships bronze medallist Ximin Chen of China and the newly crowned world champion Masghouni Wafa of Tunisia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Neutral athlete Polina Shvedkova clinched the final gold medal in the +73kg category, with Poland\u2019s Dagmara Haremza taking silver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Great Britain\u2019s Lauren Williams matched her bronze from the World Taekwondo Championships, and was joined on the podium by China\u2019s Lei Xu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
