{"id":6101,"date":"2025-11-16T07:57:01","date_gmt":"2025-11-16T00:57:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.infinitysport.asia\/news\/?p=6101"},"modified":"2025-11-16T07:57:03","modified_gmt":"2025-11-16T00:57:03","slug":"double-victory-for-china","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.infinitysport.asia\/news\/double-victory-for-china\/","title":{"rendered":"Double victory for China"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>China celebrated winning both gold medals on day two of the World Taekwondo Women\u2019s Open Championships in Malabo, with Ma Jingyue victorious in the -49kg category and Yang Qingmei in the -57kg.<br><br>FISU World University Games gold medallist Jingyue triumphed in two rounds in the -49kg final against Individual Neutral Athlete Viktoriya Eremina to clinch gold, following on from her impressive three-round win against her compatriot and World Taekwondo Championships bronze medallist Fu Xiaolu in the semi-final. Xiaolu and neutral athlete Irina Rogozina took the bronze medals.<br><br>The -57kg final saw Yang Qingmei prevail against neutral athlete Kseniia Zdor to take China\u2019s gold medal tally in Malabo up to three, following Wang Xiaolu&#8217;s success in the -53kg class on Friday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Qingmei earlier won the deciding round in her semi-final against neutral athlete Kseniia Smirnova, who was joined in third place on the podium another neutral athlete Polina Dzaragazova.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" Guinea, and the first edition of the competition to be held on the African continent.<br><br>Competition concludes today with the -46kg, -62kg and +73kg weight
