Vietnam will host the Asian Esports Championships (ECA 2025) for the first time from November 19\u201322 in Can Tho.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Do Viet Hung, Vice President of the Asian Esports Federation and President of VIRESA, Can Tho was chosen for its modern infrastructure, strong tourism appeal, and rich Mekong Delta culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event hosted by the Vietnam Recreational and Electronic Sports Association (VIRESA) will feature approximately 100 gamers from seven countries – China, Korea, Japan, the Philippines, Laos, Thailand, and Vietnam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The championships will feature popular games including League of Legends, CrossFire as well as Stepin Digital Dance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In conjunction with the championships, VIRESA will also host a business networking programme and the Asian Esports symposium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event also aims to promote Vietnam\u2019s cultural and tourism identity, linking digital sports with local heritage and creativity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Viet Hung added that hosting the ECA 2025 was expected to boost Vietnam\u2019s digital entertainment industry, attract investment from regional tech and esports corporations, and enhance the country\u2019s capability to organise international events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hosted in rotation by China and Korea over the past four years, the ECA has become a symbol of cooperation and sustainable growth in Asia\u2019s esports community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
