{"id":5522,"date":"2025-11-02T13:10:31","date_gmt":"2025-11-02T06:10:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.infinitysport.asia\/news\/?p=5522"},"modified":"2025-11-02T13:10:33","modified_gmt":"2025-11-02T06:10:33","slug":"triple-treat-from-ikhwan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.infinitysport.asia\/news\/triple-treat-from-ikhwan\/","title":{"rendered":"Triple treat from Ikhwan"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Malaysian Muhammad Ikhwan Ramli kept up to his potential by winning the triple crown at the Indonesia Para Badminton International.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He won the men\u2019s singles, doubles and mixed doubles at the tournament to exert his authority in the wheelchair category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The tournament also Indian and Indonesian para badminton players dominate, winning bulk of the titles at stake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ikhwan was top seeded in the men\u2019s singles WH1 and he maintained his superiority to hand India\u2019s Shashank Kumar, the third seed, 21-15, 21-16.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The final in Indonesia was the third meeting between the duo, and Ikhwan now holds a 3-0 whitewash of Shashank, having also beaten his Indian rival at the Bahrain Open in May this year and at the Thailand Open two years ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ikhwan was back on the court for the WH1-WH2 men\u2019s doubles partnering Noor Azwan Noorlan. The top seeded Malaysian pair came out on top against second seeds Prem Kumar Ale-Abu Hubaida of India 21-18, 21-18.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Malaysian duo had also beaten Prem-Abu at the Spanish Para Badminton International earlier this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With two titles in the bag,&nbsp; Ikwan was back on court with his Peruvian partner Pilar Jauregui in the WH1-WH2 mixed doubles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The scratch pair were up against top seeds Prem Kumar-Alphia James of India but were totally dominant in their 21-9, 21-6 final win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The triple-treat from Ikhwan was not the only icing on the cake for Malaysia as defending Paralympic gold medalist Cheah Like Hou also delivered the SU5 men\u2019s singles title, defeating second seed Meril Loquette of France
