The gulf in the standards between the Cambodian junior swimmers and the rest of Asia was quite evident at the Asian Youth Games in Bahrain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As in the previous days at the Khalifa Sports City Swimming Pool, none of the Cambodian swimmers were able to progress past the heats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sok Esarak clocked 31.35 in the boys’ 50m breaststroke Heat 3, finishing 6th<\/sup> in the race and 24th<\/sup> overall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In Heat 5, Lim Sokvearaksak only managed a 32.07, finishing 6th<\/sup> in the race and 27th<\/sup> overall out of the 38 swimmers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In the boys’ 200m Individual Medley Heat 3, Lim finished in a time of 2:24.90 with split times of 29.68, 1:08.44 and 1:49.36.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Pieter Vanoosten was the faster of the two Cambodians in the event. He finished fifth in Heat 4 in a time of 2:17.03.
