Ten-man Phnom Penh Crown FC fought back to hold Dewa United to a 1-1 stalemate in their AFC Challenge League 2025\/26 Group E encounter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The draw meant that both sides sit two points adrift of early pacesetters Tainan City FC of Chinese Taipei, who picked up a 2-1 win against Shan United of Myanmar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Phnom Penh, through Maksym Priadun, had the first sight at goal in the sixth minute with the forward\u2019s free-kick bending over the wall nicely but Sonny Stevens read the flight of the ball and made an easy catch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dewa United\u2019s threat came predominantly down the left via pacey left-back Alta Ballah who bombed forward on two separate occasions to thrash low shots from the left, with the first one whizzing past the post before a second effort was tipped onto the bar by Um Vichet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Indonesian international Egy Maulana Vikri got in the thick of the action as half-time approached, twice seeing his shot saved by Vichet before a beautiful curling effort from range that just missed the mark as the teams went into the break on level terms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Phnom Penh\u2019s chances of getting a foothold in the game became even more difficult in the 66th minute after Devit Yem was shown a straight red for a reckless foul on Egy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A quickly taken short corner four minutes later saw the space opened up for Egy to have a shot from the edge of the box that initially looked to have been caught by Vichet, only for the ball to slip from his grasp and land over the goal line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Oleg Starynskyi\u2019s side, however, refused to give up and forced the equaliser in the 75th minute when Moses Dyer steered home from close range after outpacing Septian Bagaskara to get at the end of Long Phearath\u2019s delivery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
