It will be a battle of a different sorts for Cambodia and Thailand in the football competition at the SEA Games in December.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Both sides, caught in border tensions for the past months, have been drawn in the same group for both the men\u2019s and women\u2019s competitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Cambodian men\u2019s have been drawn in Group A alongside the hosts and Timor-Leste. With only the top team from each group qualifying for the semi-finals automatically, the match up between the two rivals would be crucial for Cambodia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While one of the best second placed team would join the three group champions, the advantage to go through would be with the teams from Group C.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Group B will feature favourites Vietnam, Malaysia and Laos. Group C will be the only group with four team \u2013 defending Indonesia, Myanmar, the Philippines, and Singapore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Men\u2019s Football will be played in. Bangkok, Chiangmai and Songkhla City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Cambodian women\u2019s team are Group A, alongside Thailand, Singapore, and Indonesia. Group B will comprise of defending champions Vietnam, Myanmar, the Philippines and Malaysia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All Women\u2019s Football matches will be played in Chonburi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, the Men\u2019s Futsal will see five teams \u2013 Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Myanmar and Malaysia \u2013 playing in a round-robin format in Nonthaburi while women\u2019s futsal will play all their matches in Samut Prakan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Group A of the womens’ futsal has host Thailand, Malaysia and the Philippines, while Group B will see Indonesia, Myanmar and Indonesia battling it out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
