The IFSC has signed a deal with Bilibili, China’s iconic brand and leading video community for young generations, to become the exclusive broadcaster of climbing events in China through to the end of the 2026 season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bilibili will stream every remaining IFSC organised World Cup and World Championships in 2025, plus the full 2026 series of events on its platform, exposing the sport to hundreds of millions of viewers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With over 360 million monthly active users and over 100 million daily active users, this partnership will introduce climbing to\u200b new audiences \u200bamong\u200b China’s younger generation of social media users. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bilibili first broadcast the IFSC World Cup in Chamonix, France in July 2025 before securing the exclusive rights for the subsequent IFSC Lead World Cup in Madrid, Spain. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the new partnership, IFSC President Marco Scolaris said: “The IFSC and climbing have a strong foundation in China with multiple major events being held in the country, and China also shows many of the best athletes in the world: Bilibili will build further on these foundations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Climbing is a growing sport with an ever growing young and dynamic audience so a partnership with a social media platform like Bilibili makes perfect sense. The climbing appeal in China is high, and now Bilibili will make it even higher.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The next event to be shown on Bilibili will be the IFSC Speed World Cup in Guiyang, China on 13 September, before the IFSC Climbing and Para Climbing World Championships in Seoul, South Korea which begins on 20 September.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
