Serbian outift Ub returned to the top after defeating Raudondvaris Hoptrans<\/em> of Lithuania 21-16 in the final of the FIBA 3×3 World Tour Marseille yesterday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After an uncharacteristic sixth-place finish in Ulaanbaatar and an opening-day upset against Barcelona at the the Parc Chanot, the defending World Tour Marseille winners responded in emphatic fashion to claim their second FIBA 3×3 World Tour title of the season, becoming only the second team after Limanof Serbia to win multiple World Tour stops in 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The triumph capped off a memorable weekend of 3×3 basketball in southern France, with the FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series Marseille 2026 taking place alongside the World Tour stop to create another spectacular celebration of the game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The championship game pitted two strong teams against one another, with Raudondvaris Hoptrans<\/em> seeking their first major breakthrough of the season and Ub aiming to rediscover their dominance. The teams traded baskets early before Ub gradually seized control behind the experienced duo of Dejan Majstorovic and Nenad Nerandzic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ub built a 10-7 advantage and never looked back, consistently answering every Lithuanian rally. While tournament MVP Strahinja Stojacic was limited to just one point in the Final, his teammates answered the call and stepped up in a major way. Majstorovic delivered a vintage performance with 9 points, while Nerandzic added another 9 as Ub closed out a 21-16 victory and lifted the trophy once again in Marseille.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Road to the Final<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Ub’s championship run was far from straightforward. The Serbian powerhouse had suffered a stunning defeat to Barcelona on Day 1 and entered Championship Sunday with plenty to prove. They first silenced the home crowd with a convincing 21-15 Quarter-Finals victory over Toulouse of France, with Nemanja Barac leading the way with 8 points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ub then produced one of their most dominant performances of the season in the Semi-Finals, overwhelming red-hot Fuengirola of Spain 21-13. Stojacic was simply unstoppable, scoring 14 points, including his team’s first 11, as Ub raced into the Final.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the other side of the bracket, Raudondvaris Hoptrans<\/em> edged Liman 14-12 in a defensive battle before surviving an overtime thriller against Barcelona, winning 17-16 thanks to a clutch finish from Marijus Uzupis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There was no question that the MVP award belonged to none other than Strahinja Stojacic. The world’s No.1 player once again reminded everyone why he remains the face of the game, finishing atop the tournament in virtually every major statistical category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stojacic recorded a tournament-best 64.8 player value, 37 total points, 38 highlights and 15 key assists. After a slow finish in the Final, the Serbian superstar had already done more than enough damage earlier in the tournament, particularly with his spectacular 14-point explosion in the Semi-Finals. The Marseille title marks another statement performance from ‘Doctor Strange’ as Ub firmly re-establish themselves among the favorites for the remainder of the 2026 season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ever-reliable Dejan Majstorovic added another trophy to his collection by winning the Shootout Contest with 11 points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, Poland’s Piotr Zawi\u015blak soared to victory in the Dunk Contest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
