She was beaten by Chen Su Yu 21-16, 15-21, 21-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">The Taiwanese, ranked 67<sup>th<\/sup> in world, battled hard in the match that lasted 54-minutes and will take on India\u2019s Rakshita Sree Santhosh Ramraj in the second round. The 19-year-old Indian player had cruised past Tereza Svabikova of Czechia 21-15, 21-8 in her opening match.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Beiwen, looking to a third US Open title, was beaten by compatriot Ella Lin 17-21, 21-14, 17-21 in her opening match. The fourth seeded American had also won the US Open in 2014 but was outfoxed by Ella, ranked 69<sup>th<\/sup>, in their first ever meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Ella plays Bulgarian Kaloyana Nalbantova, who defeated India\u2019s Anmol Kharb 21-15, 21-15, in the second round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Also show an early exit was Denmark\u2019s Amalie Schulz.
