{"id":13124,"date":"2026-05-25T08:44:03","date_gmt":"2026-05-25T01:44:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.infinitysport.asia\/news\/?p=13124"},"modified":"2026-05-25T08:44:07","modified_gmt":"2026-05-25T01:44:07","slug":"odo-dethrones-teammate-hashimoto","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.infinitysport.asia\/news\/odo-dethrones-teammate-hashimoto\/","title":{"rendered":"Odo dethrones teammate Hashimoto"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>One champion has successfully defended, while the other has been dethroned with Anders Lind and Satsuki Odo taking home the singles titles at WTT Contender Lagos table tennis championships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Defending champion Honoka Hashimoto missed out on back-to-back successes in Lagos, with Satsuki Odo packing too much power to claim a 11-3, 5-11, 11-3, 11-6, 11-4 final victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hashimoto dropped just one game on her way to the title in 2025, and had navigated her way to this year\u2019s final off the back of four consecutive straight-game victories.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, she was second best for large parts of Sunday\u2019s final as Odo brought her brand of heavy-metal table tennis right from game one, breaking through the defensive wall that stood opposite her to get her hands on her third WTT Series title of the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Satsuki Odo vs Honoka Hashimoto | WS Final | #WTTLagos 2026\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/a-skflbvz2s?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer;
