With his tally now up to seven Boulder golds, he draws level with compatriot Tomoa Narasaki and fourth on the all-time list.

Anraku did it in style as well. He was the only climber to top all four boulders with a score of 99.7pts.

After his win Anraku said: “It was a hard round. I’m just happy every time I can show my climbing and take a victory.

“The crowd here was amazing. I take my power from them.”

As the only athlete to top all four, Anraku was asked to pick a favourite and said: “Boulder three, the slab. Not always that good on slab so I was happy to do it.”

France’s Mejdi Schalck did put some pressure on Anraku by also topping the first three boulders, although doing so in more attempts. However, the Frenchman could only make the zone on the fourth and final boulder for a points tally of 84.3pts which was enough for silver.

The fight for bronze was between Belgium’s Hannes van Duysen and Japan’s Sohta Amagasa.

Both climbers zoned boulder one. It was advantage Amagasa after boulder two as he topped and Van Duysen zoned. They both topped boulder three, but Amagasa took ten attempts compared to Van Duysen’s three.

That boulder would ultimately make the difference as Amagasa zoned the last boulder and Van Duysen topped in two. It meant Van Duysen took bronze with 69.2pts compared to Amagasa’s 68.4pts.

The four remaining climbers could only zone their final boulders with Israel’s Adi Bark zoning all four for fifth place on 38.8pts.

The other three zoned three boulders with Great Britain’s Max Milne sixth with 29.6pts, France’s Paul Jenft seventh with 29.4pts and USA’s Colin Duffy eighth, also with 29.4pts.

The World Climbing Series moves on to Spain next week for Boulder and Speed at the World Climbing Series Comunidad de Madrid 2026.

[44
406,144,102
post-13121","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-international","tag-boulder","tag-lead","tag-sport-climbing
["https://www.infinitysport.asia/news/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Sorato-Anraku-.jpg",1920,1080,false
https://www.infinitysport.asia/news/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Sorato-Anraku--150x150.jpg",150,150,true
https://www.infinitysport.asia/news/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Sorato-Anraku--300x169.jpg",300,169,true
https://www.infinitysport.asia/news/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Sorato-Anraku--768x432.jpg",640,360,true
https://www.infinitysport.asia/news/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Sorato-Anraku--1024x576.jpg",640,360,true],"1536x1536":["https://www.infinitysport.asia/news/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Sorato-Anraku--1536x864.jpg",1536,864,true],"2048x2048":["https://www.infinitysport.asia/news/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Sorato-Anraku-.jpg",1920,1080,false
https://www.infinitysport.asia/news/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Sorato-Anraku--825x575.jpg",825,575,true
https://www.infinitysport.asia/news/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Sorato-Anraku--590x410.jpg",590,410,true
admin
International
["GET
