Malaysia set a new world record in the barebow men\u2019s team category at the 2026 Barebow Asia Championship, earlier this week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The trio of Khairul Anuar Mohamad, Norhisyam Ismail and Mohd Zaidi Bin Hashim combined for 1864 points in the 216-arrow 50-metre round at the Shah Alam National Sports Complex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The score adds 18 points to the previous world record of 1846, set in November 2022 by USA\u2019s Marcus Cooley, Rick Stonebraker and Matt Yacca.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Notably, second-ranked Vietnam also surpassed the previous world best, with Chi Thien Ha, Ho Bao Dien Truong and Manh Cuong Tran posting 1855 points during qualification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The new Malaysian mark has been submitted for official ratification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
