Low Zi Yu-Noraqilah Maisarah saved the blushes for the out sorts Malaysians, clinching the winning point by defeating Yaseman Bektas-Zehra Erdem 21-18, 21-19 in the second doubles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The pair almost threw it away after leading 20-16 in the second game, only to see the Turkish pair saving three match points. There was no saying what could have happened if Yaseman-Zehra had forced the decider.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bengisu-Nazlican overcame a close first game defeat to pull their side back level at 2-2, winning the 69-minute match 20-22, 21-19, 21-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Zi Yu-Noraqilah ensured a face-saving win in the second doubles for Malaysia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Meanwhile, Japan showed the vast class difference between them and South Africa with an effortless 5-0 win in their opening Group B tie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n None of the south African players were even able to collect 10 points in any of the games they conceded.
