And then once we got out of the Powerplay, I just tried to win the game as quickly as I could.”

India captain Harmanpreet Kaur (66) and opener Shafali Verma (64) had earlier helped India post a respectable total of 192/4, but that proved too few as Wolvaardt and Luus scored freely to ensure South Africa clinched the series in impressive style.

The Wanderers will host the next game of the series on Saturday before the fifth and final game between the two rivals in Benoni on Monday and Wolvaardt wants her side to keep the momentum going ahead of the T20 World Cup.

“We are in a very good space. We are improving every single game,” Wolvaardt said.

“It is a good surface and we have been getting the better of the tosses. Once we lose the toss and have to bat first, that will be a different story but that’s what this five match series is for.”

South Africa skipper Laura Wolvaardt scored her 17th international century to guide South Africa to a nine-wicket win

[44
69
post-11990","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-international","tag-cricket
["https://www.infinitysport.asia/news/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Laura-Wolvaardt_compressed.jpg",1932,828,false
https://www.infinitysport.asia/news/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Laura-Wolvaardt_compressed-150x150.jpg",150,150,true
https://www.infinitysport.asia/news/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Laura-Wolvaardt_compressed-300x129.jpg",300,129,true
https://www.infinitysport.asia/news/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Laura-Wolvaardt_compressed-768x329.jpg",640,274,true
https://www.infinitysport.asia/news/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Laura-Wolvaardt_compressed-1024x439.jpg",640,274,true],"1536x1536":["https://www.infinitysport.asia/news/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Laura-Wolvaardt_compressed-1536x658.jpg",1536,658,true],"2048x2048":["https://www.infinitysport.asia/news/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Laura-Wolvaardt_compressed.jpg",1932,828,false
https://www.infinitysport.asia/news/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Laura-Wolvaardt_compressed-825x575.jpg",825,575,true
https://www.infinitysport.asia/news/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Laura-Wolvaardt_compressed-590x410.jpg",590,410,true
admin
International
["GET
