Triay-Brea, though, reset to level it at 7-5 before the second seeds took the decider 6-4 in an epic tie just over three hours.

González, 24, said: “I think in the end our relationship off the court helps a lot. Beyond the fact that we get along really well, I think we’re both very humble and very hardworking people.”

It was not all plain sailing for the eventual victors this week as they nearly got knocked out in the Round of 16 to an unseeded pair following a second-set wobble in a three-set thriller.

They learned quickly from that, though, to race through their next two matches including a 6-2 6-3 victory over third seeds Ariana Sánchez Fallada-Andrea Ustero Prieto to make the final against Triay-Brea – who only lost six games in total in progressing all the way through the draw.

After becoming the most successful woman in Tour history with 19 Premier Padel titles, 29-year-old Josemaría added: “It was very difficult. You have to try your best. Bea today was great.”

The men’s draw saw the absence of world number one pair Arturo Coello-Agustín Tapia with Galán-Chingotto taking their place as number one seeds leaving Miguel Yanguas-Franco Stupaczuk second.

The top seeds needed three sets to overcome an unseeded pair in the Round of 16, the shock to the system seeing them step up their game to win their next two matches in straight sets including a 6-3 6-4 semi-final win over fifth seeds Jorge Nieto-Jon Sanz that booked a title defence.

Meanwhile down the bottom of the draw, 2024 NEWGIZA champions Yanguas-Stupaczuk dug deep to hit back from a set down in their quarter-final tie against seventh seeds Javier Garrido-Lucas Bergamini then comfortably saw off eighth seeds Juan Tello and Eduardo Alonso 6-1 6-4 in the semis.

The final was hard fought in the opening set before the top seeds eventually claimed it 6-4, then they raced away in the second 6-1 to defend their title and hand Galán his 56th career title – the most amongst active players on the circuit.

Galán, 29, said: “I’m having a great career – more than I ever imagined when I was a kid. I’m very happy with everything, with the path I’ve taken. Obviously, I want to thank all the people who have helped me achieve this – my whole team, all my partners. But there’s still a long way to go.”

Chingotto, 29, added: “What Ale is doing is incredible. The first set was very tight. We work very hard and it’s very important for us to be able to compete at this level every week.”

The players now move straight into the Brussels P2 event in Belgium from April 19-26.

Bea González teamed up with Paula Josemaría Martín to defeat top seeds Gemma Triay Pons-Delfina Brea Senesi in

[44
366
post-11883","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-international","tag-padel
["https://www.infinitysport.asia/news/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Beatriz-Gonzalez-Fernandez-Paula-Josemaria-Martin-Federico-Chingotto-and-Alejandro-Galan-pose-with-their-winner-trophies.jpg",1996,1180,false
https://www.infinitysport.asia/news/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Beatriz-Gonzalez-Fernandez-Paula-Josemaria-Martin-Federico-Chingotto-and-Alejandro-Galan-pose-with-their-winner-trophies-150x150.jpg",150,150,true
https://www.infinitysport.asia/news/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Beatriz-Gonzalez-Fernandez-Paula-Josemaria-Martin-Federico-Chingotto-and-Alejandro-Galan-pose-with-their-winner-trophies-300x177.jpg",300,177,true
https://www.infinitysport.asia/news/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Beatriz-Gonzalez-Fernandez-Paula-Josemaria-Martin-Federico-Chingotto-and-Alejandro-Galan-pose-with-their-winner-trophies-768x454.jpg",640,378,true
https://www.infinitysport.asia/news/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Beatriz-Gonzalez-Fernandez-Paula-Josemaria-Martin-Federico-Chingotto-and-Alejandro-Galan-pose-with-their-winner-trophies-1024x605.jpg",640,378,true],"1536x1536":["https://www.infinitysport.asia/news/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Beatriz-Gonzalez-Fernandez-Paula-Josemaria-Martin-Federico-Chingotto-and-Alejandro-Galan-pose-with-their-winner-trophies-1536x908.jpg",1536,908,true],"2048x2048":["https://www.infinitysport.asia/news/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Beatriz-Gonzalez-Fernandez-Paula-Josemaria-Martin-Federico-Chingotto-and-Alejandro-Galan-pose-with-their-winner-trophies.jpg",1996,1180,false
https://www.infinitysport.asia/news/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Beatriz-Gonzalez-Fernandez-Paula-Josemaria-Martin-Federico-Chingotto-and-Alejandro-Galan-pose-with-their-winner-trophies-825x575.jpg",825,575,true
https://www.infinitysport.asia/news/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Beatriz-Gonzalez-Fernandez-Paula-Josemaria-Martin-Federico-Chingotto-and-Alejandro-Galan-pose-with-their-winner-trophies-590x410.jpg",590,410,true
admin
International
International
0
https://www.infinitysport.asia/news/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Beatriz-Gonzalez-Fernandez-Paula-Josemaria-Martin-Federico-Chingotto-and-Alejandro-Galan-pose-with-their-winner-trophies.jpg
["GET
