Matt Fitzpatrick fired an 8-under 63 to take a one-shot lead over Viktor Hovland after the second round of the RBC Heritage golf championships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a 14-under 128 total, Fitzpatrick, the 2023 winner, is seeking to become 11th player to win the event multiple times. He is also in search of a second title this season, having clinched the Valspar Championship earlier this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hovland claimed a hard-earned 65 in the round, that included a notable birdie on the par-5 fifth, holing a 30-footer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the first time that Hovland is inside the top three after two rounds since the 2025 U.S.
Open where he ended claiming third spot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following rounds of 64 and 68, Harris English holds third sport at ten-under while a second-round 64, seed Patrick Cantlay tied fourth at nine-under. Cantlay is tied with Sepp Straka as well as first round leader Ludvig \u00c5berg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aberg recorded four birdies but three back-nine bogeys saw his carding a 1-under 70.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
