Preah Reach Khan Svay Rieng advanced to the final of the AFC Challenge League in magnificent fashion after defeating Manila Digger 3-0 in their semi-final second leg at the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Taking their place in the final for the second successive year on a 4-1 aggregate, Svay Rieng will hope to go one better after finishing runners-up last season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The tow sides had drawn 1-1 in the first leg held at the Morodok Techo National Stadium earlier this month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The early exchanges saw opportunities for Manila with Modou Manneh firing straight at Vireak Dara before the Svay Rieng custodian fumbled a cross but had Saret Krya to thank for stepping in before Kenji Nishioka could knock home into a gaping goalmouth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Defender Krya then showed his worth at the other end, rising highest to nod home Patrick Robson\u2019s free-kick in the 11th minute to put the visitors in front.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Svay Rieng then had chances to double their advantage through Cristian dos Santos and Robson, however, the former\u2019s long range strike was saved by Omar Njie with the crossbar denying the latter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With pressure mounting, Manila conceded again in the 39th minute after Njie had saved Tiago Alves\u2019 initial attempt but could not react fast enough to prevent Kwame Peprah from steering in the rebound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kim Versales tried to pump Manila up for the second half as the side from the Philippines looked to force their way back into the game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The opportunity to halve the deficit came a minute before the hour mark when Yuga Watanabe\u2019s knockdown found Saikou Ceesay who volleyed the ball towards goal, only for Souey Visal to put his body on the line to block the attempt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
