{"id":11686,"date":"2026-04-15T07:18:59","date_gmt":"2026-04-15T00:18:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.infinitysport.asia\/news\/?p=11686"},"modified":"2026-04-15T07:19:01","modified_gmt":"2026-04-15T00:19:01","slug":"iran-clinch-double-triumph","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.infinitysport.asia\/news\/iran-clinch-double-triumph\/","title":{"rendered":"Iran clinch double triumph"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Hana Zarrinkamar Roudbari and Benyamin Soltanian helped Iran to win two gold medals on day three of the Tashkent World Taekwondo Junior Championships.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The day also saw the Uzbek capital also featured victories for Thailand\u2019s Kanbusakorn Pichaisongkram and Korea\u2019s Lee Geun-mi.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Women&#8217;s +68kg<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Zarrinkamar Roudbari impressed throughout the day at the Martial Arts Sports Complex in Tashkent\u2019s Olympic City, and sealed Iran\u2019s second gold medal of the World Taekwondo Junior Championships with victory in the final against Czechia\u2019s Alice B\u00ednov\u00e1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That followed on from Zarrinkamar Roudbari\u2019s triumph in the -68kg weight category at the Chuncheon 2024 World Taekwondo Junior Championships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She clinched the first round against B\u00ednov\u00e1 by points gap in swift fashion, and dominated the second round to win 11-3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Croatia\u2019s Sara \u017di\u017ei\u0107 and Chinese Taipei\u2019s Zhang Ziyun took the bronze medals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Men&#8217;s -73kg<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Iran\u2019s second gold medal of the day and third of the championships came courtesy of Soltanian, who did not lose a round on his route to victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Soltanian delivered a controlled display in the final against Korea\u2019s Ahn Seung-Min, winning the two rounds 4-1 and 7-3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ukraine\u2019s Roman Hodyma and T\u00fcrkiye\u2019s Ercan Berk \u0130mamo\u011flu were bronze medallists.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Men&#8217;s -45kg<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pichaisongkram produced a masterful display in the Men&#8217;s -45kg final against Russia\u2019s Tamerlan Kamalov to earn his country\u2019s first gold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Two intense rounds both went the way of Pichaisongkram as he staved off his opponent superbly.
