Pakistan\u2019s Muhammad Asim Khan and Hong Kong, China\u2019s Toby Tse have booked their places in the PSA World Squash Championships after winning epic finals at the Asia qualifying event at the Hong Kong Football Club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The all-Hong Kong women\u2019s final was up first as both Toby and Heylie Fung looked to claim a place in their first World Championships. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Despite Heylie starting the better of the two and claiming the opening game, Toby battled back and asserted her dominance to turn the tide and win the next two games to lead 2-1. Heylie held string in game four and managed to level proceedings by winning 11-9. No.2 seed Tse managed the fifth game well and ran out to an 5-11, 11-6, 11-8, 9-11, 11-7 victory in 50 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The men\u2019s final was just as exciting with the match once again won in a deciding game. The more experienced Asim Khan, looked to be cruising through to the World Championships after taking the opening two games with such style.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Maybe he was guilty of already thinking the match was won as he returned to court for the third game. Joachim found a way to move Khan away from the middle, which brought him much joy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Joachim took games three and four to level the tie and as the game reached a tiebreak in the fifth, Khan was awarded a stroke at 11-10 to seal the 11-3, 13-11, 9-11, 3-11, 12-10 victory and book his ticket to Cairo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
