Competing on home roads in Bras\u00edlia, he will take on two-time world champion Toshikazu Yamanishi of Japan, as well as the top three from the 20km at the last edition of these championships \u2013 Sweden\u2019s multiple world medallist Perseus Karlstr\u00f6m, Spain\u2019s world bronze medallist Paul McGrath and his compatriot Diego Garc\u00eda Carrera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The men\u2019s marathon field is also packed with global medallists. Canada\u2019s world 35km champion Evan Dunfee lines up alongside Italy\u2019s 2021 Olympic 20km champion and 35km world record-holder Massimo Stano, Japan\u2019s world 35km bronze medallist Hayato Katsuki and multiple German record-holder Christopher Linke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the women\u2019s half marathon, Peru\u2019s 2022 double world champion Kimberly Garc\u00eda leads the entries.
