The eight seed bowed out 17-21, 14-21 in just 35-minutes at the hands of Japan\u2019s Riko Gunji.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, Thailand will still have a representative in the Last 8. Pitchamon Opatniputh was in impressive form as she denied Taiwanese sixth seed Chiu Pin-chian 21-10, 21-14 in their match-up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The biggest shock came in the mixed doubles with top seeds Guo Xinwa-Chen Fenghui crashing out. Thailand\u2019s Pakkapon Teeraratsakul-Sapsiree Taerattanachai took 61-minutes to dismantle the top seeds 16-21, 21-18, 21-17.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also shown the exit were the fifth seeds Ruttanapak Oupthong-Jhenicha Sudjaipraparat. The Thai duo crashed out 21-15, 16-21, 15-21 at the hands of Denmark\u2019s Mads Vestergaard-Christine Busch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seventh seeds Ye Hong Wei-Nicole Gonzales Chan of Taiwan were forced to withdraw due to injury in their match against China\u2019s Zhu Yijun-Li Qian.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Americans Francesca Corbett-Jennis Gai pulled off a hard-earned 21-12, 17-21, 21-19 win over eight seeds Rui Hirokami-Sayaka Hobara to book their place in the women\u2019s doubles quarter-finals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sixth seeds Hsu Yin-hui-Lin Jhih Yun of Chinese Taipei also failed to progress. They bowed out 14-21, 16-21 to China\u2019s Bao Lijing-Luo Xumin in their Last 16 tie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another seeded pair to fall were the Taiwanese duo of Hsieh Pei Shan-Hung En-Tzu, the fourth seeds, were beaten 19-21, 21-18, 13-21 by teammates Lin Xiao Min-Wang Yu Qiao.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another Taiwanese pair, the seventh seeded Hsu Ya Ching-Sung Yu-Hsuan also went crashing out 16-21, 9-21 to China\u2019s Li Yijing-Wang Yiduo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the men\u2019s doubles, upstarts Kang Khai Xing-Aaron Tai of Malaysia stunned Indonesian third seeds Leo Rolly Carnando-Bagas Maulana 21-12, 21-23, 21-16 to book their place in the quarter-finals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But it was the end of the road for the Malaysians teammates and eighth seeds Nur Mohd Azriyin Ayub-Tan Wee Kiong.
