Jere Forsberg shot a new para archery world record at 25 metre with 585 points in Espoo, Finland pending ratification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Finnish Paralympian delivered a 294+291 scoreline at the national-level event, surpassing the previous mark of 580 set by John Stubbs in December 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Forsberg said the shooting felt particularly stable throughout the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI felt really stable today and the result could have easily been even better without couple of just barely out arrows,\u201d he wrote on social media after the competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The 32-year-old is a four-time Paralympian, having represented Finland at the Games in London 2012, Rio 2016, Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024, and winning Paralympic gold at his first appearance. Forsberg also claimed world silver in 2013 and is a two-time European champion, taking back-to-back titles in 2022 and 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The result has been submitted for ratification as both a world and European record in the compound men\u2019s para archery category over 60 arrows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
