The first gold medals at the World Ski Orienteering Championships in Japan went to Norwegian athletes Anna Ulvens\u00f8en and J\u00f8rgen Baklid in the sprint in Rusutsu, Japan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the women\u2019s class, Ulvens\u00f8en was absolutely dominant \u2013 especially in the second half of the course \u2013 and won with an impressive margin of 70 seconds over Sweden\u2019s Linda Lindkvist. Four seconds further behind, Delia Giezendanner (SUI) and Magdalena Olsson (SWE) shared the bronze medal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ulvens\u00f8en won all three distances at the World Cup round in Lule\u00e5 a month ago and shows no signs of slowing down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
