Former world junior badminton champion Goh Jin Wei has clinched her first BWF women\u2019s singles title since the Orleans International in 2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 26-year-old third seed cruised to a 21-11, 21-11 win in just 30-minutes over Indonesian Komang Ayu Cahya Dewi at the Singapore International Challenge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A series of health issues has seen Jin Wei unable to fully live up to her potential despite having won world juniors twice and the 2018 Youth Olympics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her last major title was at the regional SEA Games in 2017. She had also made the Thailand Master final earlier this year but was forced to concede a walkover to India\u2019s Devika Sihag after trailing 8-21, 3-6.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The victory would be a boost for the shuttler, who has also recently been included in Malaysia\u2019s squad for the Uber Cup in Denmark next month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile qualifier Wu Zhe Ying came down  back from a game down to take home the men\u2019s singles title.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Playing his ninth match in the competition, he gunned down Indonesia\u2019s 13th<\/sup> seed Bismo Raya Oktora 5-21, 21-19, 21-16.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
